Ah. Awards season. Don’t you just hate it: It’s long, it’s tedious, it’s dramatic, it’s reactionary, it’s long, it’s impossible to ever really grasp what’s going on, it’s long, it’s long, it’s long, IT’S LONG! And with Cannes, TIFF, Telluride, and Venice all in the rearview, and just New York and London left to go, with a handful of non-festival-playing, more commercially charged, potential awards players also on the horizon, the conversation is heating up for what, and, perhaps more accurately, who, could find themselves on stage in six — yes, SIX — long months.
